Mission Statement Ukrainian Central School Sydney
The School is the founding Ukrainian language school in New South Wales.
It operates each Saturday during school terms from its dedicated Ukrainian community owned school building at 51-57 Joseph Street, Lidcombe .
Our mission is to establish the best Ukrainian language strategies relevant to the learning needs of today.
We undertake to create a safe, happy, nurturing and stimulating environment.
We impart to the students an appreciation of Ukrainian culture and traditions for them to identity with the customs and values of their parents and grandparents.
The Ukrainian Central School Sydney develops qualities in its students that will enhance their potential and enrich a culturally-diverse wider community.
This class is for children aged from 3 to 5.
Children role play and learn in a Ukrainian environment.
Our school programme
The Ukrainian Central School provides a caring, supportive and positive environment for the learning of the Ukrainian language, grammar, history, geography, culture and traditions.
The curriculum is customised to the age and skill levels of the students – elementary, intermediate and advanced levels.
Families are able to participate in the school’s activities with their children, that present cultural traditions, including the unique decoration of Ukrainian Easter eggs – pysanky.
Distance Learning: For children who cannot always attend the School in person we can, by arrangement, consider providing lessons using Skype.
